The aims of the Devotion to the Divine Heart of God the Father are multiple (Apostolate of the Divine Heart, 2011). The first aim of the Devotion, and of the icon, is so that God the Father may be directly paid the homage, worship and veneration due to Him, as the Almighty Father. Homage, worship and veneration that our Heavenly Father has repeatedly and strongly requested from mankind, and that is very seriously lacking in our present world, given that Our Father’s requests have largely fallen on deaf ears. According to our Almighty Father, the second aim of the devotion and the icon is to provide a concrete symbol of His Infinite Love for humanity, by reminding all mankind that they do have a Father; especially in this day and age of generalized fatherlessness and abandonment.

The third aim of the devotion and the icon, according to our Almighty Father, is to provide all mankind with the opportunity of receiving His Seal (Rv 3:10-12, 14:1-5), by reciting the consecration prayer that He has dictated, in front of the actual icon of His Divine Heart or holy card reproduction thereof (Apostolate of the Divine Heart, 2011). The purpose of consecration is to belong directly to our Heavenly Father, thus becoming His personal property (Rv 2:17, 3:9-13, 14:1) by returning to live in His Divine Will, out of our own free will choice. The purpose of receiving the Seal of the Father is (a) to annul the name, number, or mark of the beast (Rv 13:11-18, 14:1-5); and (b) to become and remain able, through additional grace according to His promise, to spiritually withstand the attacks of Satan, his principalities and powers, and earthly agents during the upcoming Chastisement  (Dn 7:25, 8:3-14, 8:24-25, 9:25-27, 12:6-11; Jl 1:2-20, 2:1-27, 3:1-5, 4:1-21; 2 P 3:7; Rv 2:10-11, 3:10, 6:5-17, 7:1-17, 8:1-5, 9:1-21, 11:7-10, 12:7-17, 13:1-18, 14:6-20, 16:17-21, 18:9-23, 20:1-6; Zech 14:1-21; Zeph 1:2-18, 2:1-15, 3:1-20).

The fourth aim of the devotion and the icon is to provide both reparation and consolation to God the Father, for all the blasphemies that have been, and continue to be unremittingly, committed against His Divine Heart and Infinite Love for all mankind; through a tangible avenue of veneration, according to His repeated requests (Apostolate of the Divine Heart, 2011). The fifth aim of the devotion and the icon is to institute weekly cenacles of worship to Our Father’s Divine Heart. According to our Almighty Father, whoever participates in such cenacles will receive all the graces s/he needs, in order to live habitually in His Divine Will.

The sixth aim of the devotion and the icon is to emphasize the necessity of re-unification between the Eastern (Orthodox) Church and the Western (Catholic) Church in, through, and with the icon, which is intentionally ecumenical in nature (Message of 9/5/11, unpublished communication). The seventh aim is to decrease our Heavenly Father’s holy Wrath, which is steadily and rapidly growing in relation to our present world, while increasing His Mercy toward mankind, by increasing adoration, veneration, and worship of Him (Apostolate of the Divine Heart, 2011). Thus minimizing, as much as possible, the consequences and pains of the Great Chastisement, while facilitating our entry into the New Israel (Dn 7:25, 8:3-14, 8:24-25, 9:25-27, 12:6-11; Is 24:16-25, 25:6-12; Jl 1:2-20, 2:1-27, 3:1-5, 4:1-21; 2 P 3:7; Rv 2:10-11, 3:10, 6:5-17, 7:1-17, 8:1-5, 9:1-21, 11:7-10, 12:7-17, 13:1-18, 14:6-20, 16:17-21, 18:9-23, 20:1-6; Zech 14:1-21; Zeph 1:2-18, 2:1-15, 3:1-20).
