How often do we stand with and for God the Father, that is acting like true children of His by defending Him privately and/or publicly to others, whenever the need arises? Something that is occurring most frequently in this day and age. How often do we omit to defend Our most beloved Father to others, out of fear of incurring sharp rejection and retaliation, or even just the possibility of not being liked as much as previously, had we to indeed take a stand and speak up? That is how many times, in the course of our daily lives, are we truly acting as nothing but cowards and hypocrites – in essence, end-times Pharisees – instead of men and women of fibre, by being ashamed to own up to Who and What our Father really Is, preferring to first and foremost protect our hides instead under various beautifully sounding, elaborate rationalizations? In fact whenever someone insults, denigrates, or attacks a member of our earthly families, we are generally extremely prompt in responding to vigorously defend the said member of our clan! Yet when it comes down to defending any of the Members of our Divine Family – and most especially its Head – we are severely lacking in both responsivity and responsibility.
We need to remember that Jesus had said “Every one therefore that shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in Heaven. But he that shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven” (Mt. 10:32-33). The same, therefore, similarly applies to ourselves with regard to our ongoing relationship with God the Father, making it imperative that we courageously stand up for and with Him before others who covertly or more overtly denigrate, disrespect, insult, ridicule, and/or flagrantly attack Him and His Sacred Mysteries. And this irrespective of what it may cost us personally to do so in consequence. Otherwise, apart from grieviously wounding Our Father most deeply in His tender Divine Heart even through simple acts of omission – that is seeming non-acts that so many of us these days tend to regard as ‘nothing’ hence ‘why should we even bother?’ – God the Father will rightfully decline knowing us, and knowing us as His children, when the appropriate time arrives.
