The first betrayal was not that of Jesus by his priest Judas Iscariot, although we tend to focus on this during our present times. Nor was it that of God the Father by Adam, when the latter sinned. The first betrayal was that of God our Father by Lucifer, who then became Satan. Because Lucifer was originally the Father’s most privileged angel, to whom Our Father poured out many of the secrets of His Divine Heart; but who let all that heavenly privilege completely cloud his preternatural mind.
