Our Father is presently showering down graces and blessings like never before, precisely because of our present times. So why do we not ask Him for graces? Or if we ask, why do we not ask Him for more? Why do we limit ourselves in what we ask Him for, as though He is stingy like us? God the Father is generous beyond imaginable belief and He Is, after all, omnipotent – everything in the universe belongs to Him, except ourselves. Unless, in the case of adults, we actually consent to belong to Him; because of our own free will. So if you need something, go ahead and ask: just ask Him for what you need! Do not hesitate or fear in the least. Ask Him for what you need, whatever it may be, irrespective of whether what you need is single or multiple.

But when you ask God the Father for what you need, do so with humility, sincerity and genuineness in your heart. Our Almighty Father is very good, sweet, infinitely loving and immeasurably tender: He never fails to respond. For as Jesus Christ said, “Ask and it will be given to you, search and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. Everyone who asks receives, everyone who searches finds; everyone who knocks will have the door opened” (Mt 7:7-8). Because, “If you have faith, everything that you ask for in prayer, you will receive” (Mt 21:22).

Moreover, when you receive what you have asked for – if not, actually, more since Our Father can never be outdone in generosity – do not be like the ten lepers who were cured by Christ, but out of whom only a single one returned to give thanks and praise to God (Lk 17:11-19). Thank Him, thank your Father for His response to your prayer! And you will see that the Almighty and ever-living God will shower you with even more graces: graces that you will be surprised at, because you would never have dreamed of asking Him for them. That is the true nature of Our Father. So go ahead and ask: do not be afraid. Ask, just ask! He will respond.
