“Hashem’s is the earth and its fullness, the inhabited land and those who dwell in it. For He founded it upon seas and established it upon rivers. Who may ascend the mountain of Hashem, and who may stand in the place of His sanctity? One with clean hands and pure heart; who has not sworn in vain by My soul, and has not sworn deceitfully. He will receive a blessing from Hashem and just kindness from the God of His salvation” (Ps 24:1-5).
“You, Hashem, will be enthroned forever and Your memory will endure from generation to generation. You will arise and show Zion mercy, for this is the time to favor her; yes, the time appointed has come . . . Then the nations will fear the Name of Hashem and all the kings of the earth Your Glory. For Hashem will build up Zion again and appear in all His Glory. Then He will turn to the prayers of the devastated; He will not despise their prayers. Let this be recorded for the final generation, so that the newborn people will praise God. For He gazed from His exalted Sanctuary; Hashem looked down from Heaven to earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to liberate those doomed to die, to declare in Zion the Name of Hashem and His praise in the heart of Jerusalem, when peoples and kingdoms are gathered together to serve Hashem” (Ps 102:13-23).
