God the Father to Mother Eugenia Ravasio

“Even if your sins were as repulsive as mud, your confidence and your love will make Me forget them, so you will not be judged! I am just, it is true, but love pays for everything! . . . I make you a promise which will have an eternal effect. It is this: call Me by the name of Father, with confidence and love, and you will receive everything from this Father, with love and mercy . . . If you love Me and call Me by the sweet name of Father, you will begin to live, here and now, in the love and the trust which will make you happy in eternity and which you will sing in heaven in the company of the elect…..

“I would like to make My home in every family, as in My domain, so that all can say with absolute assurance: ‘We have a Father Who is infinitely good, infinitely rich and greatly merciful. He thinks about us and is close to us. He looks after us, supports us. He will give us everything we need if we ask Him. All his riches are ours, we will have everything we need.’ I am there precisely in order that you should ask Me for what you need. ‘Ask and you will receive.’ In My fatherly goodness I will give you everything provided that all regard Me as a true Father, living among His family as I indeed do…..

Father, I love You, I adore You, I worship You.

“You who especially need someone to take care of you in life, so that you can avoid evil, come to Me! I am the Father Who loves you more than any other creature will ever be able to do! Take refuge close, very close to Me, confide in Me your thoughts and your desires. I will love you tenderly. I will give you graces for the present and bless your future. You can be sure I will not forget you after fifteen or twenty-five or thirty years, having created you. Come! I see that you greatly need a sweet and infinitely good Father like Me….. (more…)

They do not know God

biblethumpingPreach the Gospel and if necessary use words – Saint Francis of Assisi

More than a few Christians in America and beyond these days, but particularly in the United States, attempt to evangelize by thumping others on the head with their ‘values’ under a variety of rationalizations. Their judgmentalism, moreover, can oftentimes be considered nothing short of phenomenal. There can be no doubt that many of these Christians, including Catholics, are fundamentally sincere in their underlying intentions. However, they seem to have forgotten (1) that the above is not evangelization, but proselytization (which is “nonsense” – Pope Francis); (2) the words of Saint Paul in his first Letter to the Corinthians, and (3) the words of Christ in the Gospel of Matthew: “By their fruits you shall know them.”

Look at how much they love one another – Tertullian

No one has ever been attracted or won over to the One, True Faith by force. On the contrary. The more one name-calls others in a self-congratulatory manner in an attempt to ‘convert’ them – you know, those “over there” – the more seekers are driven away not brought closer to God. They are repulsed.

God gave every man and every woman free will when He created humankind in His own image and likeness. He, in fact, respects the decisions taken by our free will even when some of our choices cause Him great grief and sorrow. The sole conclusion that can, therefore, be reached from all of the above is that these Christians and Catholics do not know God other than by Name because if they did – if they knew Him, if they had truly met Him, at the very least, deep down in their hearts – they would know beyond doubt that, first and foremost, God is Love; Infinite Love.

What is God the Father like? – Brief response to a question

The question was asked, “What is God the Father like?” Several names and adjectives can be used to describe how our Father is. In fact, many descriptions of the Heavenly Father exist in Scripture and the writings of various saints and scholars. But none of them suffice to describe Him in His entirety as, being God, He is infinite and ultimately unknowable in His essence; His nature. What follows, (more…)

The power and love of God the Father – A response

If you only knew how loving and powerful our Almighty Father is! Nothing is impossible for Him. If you knew, truly knew, how our Father really is, you would not stay away a moment longer. You would approach Him with great rapidity and ask Him, without fear or hesitation, to take you back into His arms and plunge You deeply into His Divine Heart. But many of you, so many of you, remain (more…)

Description of God the Father – 1

FOR HIS GLORY

The Illumination of Conscience and the Father of Mercies

GodtheFather7You came that weekday afternoon with Your only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, after You decided to grant me the illumination of conscience a few days after I completed the octave of purification and consecration to You. Never did I expect anything to happen when I decided a week earlier, on a whim, to do the latter; especially as I made it a point of making a general confession before starting the octave. But You had other plans.

Without prior warning as I was sitting quietly reading that afternoon, You suddenly appeared a couple of feet above me together with Your Son, to Your right; while Your Spirit showed me with immutable clarity, (more…)

Pope Francis on God the Father – First Angelus address

“Non sentiamo parole di disprezzo, condanna ma soltanto parole di amore, di misericordia che invitano a conversione. Questo e’ il volto di Dio, quello di un Padre Misericordioso che ha sempre pazienza” (3/17/13, Angelus address).

Translation:

“We do not hear words of disrespect, condemnation but only words of love, of mercy which invite to conversion. This is the face of God, that of a Merciful Father who always has patience.”

What is merciful love? – Response to a question

Another question was asked: “What is merciful love?” The response is that merciful love is not what but Who, for Merciful Love is God Himself.

Who is Yahweh Elohim? – Thought for the day

Who is Yahweh Elohim – God the Almighty Father? He is infinite joy and infinite love; pure and simple. Why would you not want to know Him?

Unrequited Love

How often in a single day do we fail to requite the infinite love of God the Father? How many times do we choose, consciously or unconsciously, to prefer our will over His divine Will? How frequently do we plunge the sharp arrow of pain, anguish and sorrow into the core of His Divine Heart? How often do we insist on wounding Him, despite our concurrent awareness of our cruelty?  (more…)

The tender Heart of our Father

Always and everywhere, no matter how much He chastises us, the Divine Heart of our Father cannot help but be overcome with infinite tenderness and sweetness towards us, when we cry out to Him for help from the bottom of our hearts, because God our Father is Infinite Love. Therefore, our Father cannot do otherwise but give in to His nature, even when He is angry at what we do.
