Peace – 1

Everyone is seeking peace, particularly in these our increasingly chaotic times, but many, if not most, are seeking peace in the wrong direction. Seek and find peace in your heart first, that imperturbable peace which only God gives in and through the very heart of your soul, and everything else around you will fall naturally into place.

Ask for peace

Ask Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of the Living God, to grant you peace. You may search repeatedly for peace in all the things of the world, in and through all the false gods, idols, and yes; even non-apostolic religions. However, none of these can give you true peace as they do not have it; it is not theirs to give. Only Christ can give you genuine peace, because He is the Prince of Peace in Himself. Everything else is false coin -a man-made sham.

God has a weakness: He cannot not love us

“‘The Lord God waits, He does not condemn us and cries. Because He loves us!’ He behaves ‘like a mother hen with little chickens;’ this is our victory” – Pope Francis, Homily at Casa Santa Marta, October 29, 2015. Read more here.

It is time – The relationship between the Father and the child

And everyone who has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children or land for the sake of My Name will be repaid a hundred times over, and also inherit eternal life (Mt 19:29).

Give Him everything. It is time. Give Him everything without the slightest hesitation: everything you are and everything you are not; everything you have and everything you have not, down to the slightest thing. The Almighty and incomparable Father will supply and repay you like none other. He will repay you with a joy beyond description and He will give you His very own Self.

Yes, the Father will give you Himself and everything that is His in the entire universe, including His only-begotten Son in like (but not identical) manner to how He had given Him to the Virgin Mary – the coming of the Kingdom. Give yourself to the Heavenly Father, therefore, no matter who you are; no matter where you are. Give yourself to Him without fear, from the bottom of your heart. You can never lose, you can only gain.

The Father of simplicity

God our Father is all-knowing and all-powerful; omnipotent, the Almighty. Yet, in His Divine Heart, He is the Father of simplicity. He wants only one thing and one thing alone – your love. Will you love Him? Will you say ‘yes’ to Him?

Discernment – Fear vs faith, restlessness vs peace

A brief response to many writings, encounters, and questions about what is of God and what is not of God:

There is no need to worry; but if there is anything you need, pray for it, asking God for it with prayer and thanksgiving, and that peace of God which is so much greater than we can understand, will guard your hearts and your thoughts, in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:6-7).

Some in the Church, especially those who seem to adhere to a more traditionalist orientation, are presently attempting to instil fear in the people of God, knowingly or unknowingly, because of the current situation both in our world and in the Church Universal. Know that such an approach, albeit possibly correct in its technicalities, is never of God, because although the letter of the Law may be followed and propagated, it lacks the Spirit of the Law – love. And God is Love, God is Order, God is Peace.

God – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – brings peace with Him wherever He goes, wherever He is invited, wherever He resides. Never does He bring fear or restlessness; never. Fear is a thief, a killer, and a murderer of peace; and we all know who the thief and murderer is from the beginning (Jn 8:44). Do not, therefore, let anyone – no matter who they may be – steal your peace, your hope, your trust, and your love from you; all given to you by God to enjoy. Fear, restlessness, and doomsday scenarios without hope are never of God, because God is Justice but He is also Love. And His love, wisdom, compassion, and mercy are infinite, even when we think or feel otherwise. Remember, God loves and love casts out fear.

We ourselves have known and put our faith in God’s love towards ourselves. God is love and anyone who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in him. Love will come to its perfection in us when we can face the day of Judgement without fear, because even in this world we have become as He is. In love there can be no fear, but fear is driven out by perfect love: because to fear is to expect punishment, and anyone who is afraid is still imperfect in love (1 Jn 4:16-18).

A faithful God

“I lift my eyes to the mountains: where is help to come from? Help comes to me from Yahweh who made heaven and earth. No letting our footsteps slip! This guard of yours, He does not doze! The guardian of Israel does not doze or sleep. Yahweh guards you, shades you. With Yahweh at your right hand, sun cannot strike you down by day, nor moon at night. Yahweh guards you from harm, he guards your lives; he guards you leaving, coming back, now and for always” (Ps 121:1-8).

The sacrifice of the Father

These days we tend to think of the birth of Christ, how He divested Himself from everything to come and be one with us, to restore us to life with God. But the Almighty Father sacrificed too. He stayed without His most beloved Son in the unimaginable closest of proximities for our sake, something which had never previously occurred, although He continued living in Him together with Their Spirit.
