To God our Father

A faithful God

“I lift my eyes to the mountains: where is help to come from? Help comes to me from Yahweh who made heaven and earth. No letting our footsteps slip! This guard of yours, He does not doze! The guardian of Israel does not doze or sleep. Yahweh guards you, shades you. With Yahweh at your right hand, sun cannot strike you down by day, nor moon at night. Yahweh guards you from harm, he guards your lives; he guards you leaving, coming back, now and for always” (Ps 121:1-8).

Consoling our Father – Thought for the day

When we offer Mass to God our Father and praise Him, we console His wounded Divine Heart tremendously.

Prayer in ordeal

“Listen to me, Yahweh, and answer me, poor and needy as I am. Keep my soul: I am Your devoted one, save Your servant who relies on You. You are my God. Take pity on me, Lord, I invoke You all day long. Give Your servant reason to rejoice, for to You, Lord, I lift my soul. Lord, You are good and forgiving, most loving to all who invoke You.  Continue reading “Prayer in ordeal”

Pray for wisdom

“God of our ancestors, Lord of mercy, who by Your word have made all things and in Your wisdom have fitted man to rule the creatures that have come from You, to govern the world in holiness and justice and in honesty of soul to wield authority, grant me Wisdom, consort of Your throne, and do not reject me from the number of Your children. For I am Your servant, son of Your serving maid, a feeble man, with little time to live, with small understanding of justice and the laws. Indeed, were Continue reading “Pray for wisdom”

Intercession penetrates the Father’s Heart

“Intercession is like a “leaven” in the heart of the Trinity. It is a way of penetrating the Father’s heart and discovering new dimensions which can shed light on concrete situations and change them. We can say that God’s heart is touched by our intercession, yet in reality he is always there first. What our intercession achieves is that his power, his love and his faithfulness are shown ever more clearly in the midst of the people” (Francis, 2013, Evangelii Gaudium283).

When is the Consecration Prayer to the Father said?

The question was asked, “When is the prayer of consecration to the Divine Heart of God the Father said?” The answer is at any time. Whenever you wish to say the prayer, do so. No rules and regulations are involved although some say it daily as, like that, you are offering your day to the Father.

Meanwhile, for those who believe in the Sacrament of Reconciliation (e.g., Catholics, Orthodox), it is wise to sometimes say the prayer after confession, since the consecration leads to receiving the seal of the Father (Rv 3:10-12).

You work wonders

You work wonders through created things, O Lord, while men have lost the gift of wonder working.

You take fire and water for Your servants, while people refuse to serve You.

To wood and metal You give Your power, while it is returned to You, despised by people.

Through earth and grass You bestow mercy on Your chosen ones, while people make themselves too impure to be channels of mercy.  Continue reading “You work wonders”
