What does it mean to be a child of God?

To be a child of God means to be an adoptive member of the Divine Family.

When we become children of the living God by taking steps to rediscover our true heritage and giving the Almighty Father our fiat with sincerity of heart, in essence and in fact, we become adoptive members of the Divine Family. The Family – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and, yes, even the Mother* – take us in. They take us into Their Hearts and envelop us in Their bosom, showering us with all we need to become gods by grace (2 P 1:4; Ps 82:6).  Continue reading “What does it mean to be a child of God?”

Thy Kingdom come

“Whoever prays for the coming of the kingdom of God within himself is praying rights, praying for the kingdom to dawn in him, bear fruit and reach perfection. For God reigns in every saint, and every saint obeys God’s spiritual laws – God, who dwells in him just as He dwells in any well-ordered city. The Father is present in him and in his soul Christ reigns alongside the Father, as it is said: ‘We Continue reading “Thy Kingdom come”

Purification – The ascent

Purification in the desert is an ascent, for all our untoward attachments are removed so the Holy Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – can come and live in us. If we are not thoroughly purified this way, how can we open ourselves up sufficiently for Them to come and live in us with power and might? Perfect light and life cannot dwell where darkness resides. This is why we are presently being Continue reading “Purification – The ascent”

Worshipping the Father in Spirit and in Truth – 5 – Becoming partakers of the divine nature

The process

The following aptly describes the process by which we become capable of worshipping God the Father in Spirit and in Truth (cf. Jn 4:23-24), as He so longingly and longstandingly desires:

“God descends to man in two senses, although simultaneously. By one descent He places in us an activity of divine love for Him, by the other He opens Himself up before our love, which is from Continue reading “Worshipping the Father in Spirit and in Truth – 5 – Becoming partakers of the divine nature”

The Era of the 8th Day – 19

“I will dwell in them and will walk in them and I shall be their God” (2 Cor 6:16). Beatitude does not consist “in the fact that something is known about God, but in having Him within oneself” (Gregory of Nyssa, Homily on the Beatitudes, PG 44).

The Era of the 8th Day – 18 – Consecration by the Father, to Him, in Spirit and in Truth

The second Pentecost

1. “And the glory which You have given Me, I give to them: that they may be one, as We also are One. I in them and You in Me: that they may be made perfect in one: and the world may know that You have sent Me and have loved them, as You have also loved Me” (Jn 17:22-24)

2. “The sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with the glory to come that shall be revealed in us . . . Because the creature also itself shall be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the children of God” (Rom 8:18-21)

When we allow God the Father to consecrate ourselves to Himself, in His Spirit and His Truth, after the heart of our souls have been re-opened but especially after the forthcoming global Illumination Continue reading “The Era of the 8th Day – 18 – Consecration by the Father, to Him, in Spirit and in Truth”

The Illumination of Consciences – Outcomes and the last chance

“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God” (Mt 5:8)

When the global Illumination of Consciences occurs, for those who embrace its resultant graces, we will be purified and illuminated fully in the heart of our souls (John of Damascus), resulting in our becoming true “participants and communicants in Your light and divinity” (Symeon the New Theologian) – partakers of the divine nature (2 P 1:4) truly adoring the Father in Spirit and Continue reading “The Illumination of Consciences – Outcomes and the last chance”

The true meaning of living in the Era of Peace

How shall we be living in the era of peace, after the great Chastisement has been fulfilled? Unlike for many, if not most, of us living presently in the era of the flesh, during the era of peace we will be living thoroughly spiritualized lives – lives we cannot even begin to conceive of, right now – because the said era will, in effect, be the era of the Reign of the Father, in the intensely Eucharistic  Continue reading “The true meaning of living in the Era of Peace”
