For the people – The desert

“Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, adorned with the sun, standing on the moon, and with the twelve stars on her head for a crown. She was pregnant and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs of childbirth. Then a second sign appeared in the sky, a huge red dragon which had seven heads and ten horns, and each of the seven heads crowned with a coronet. Its tail dragged a third of the stars from the sky and dropped them to the earth, and the dragon stopped in front of the woman as she was having the child, so that he could eat it as soon as it was born from its mother.  Continue reading “For the people – The desert”

NEW – Deification of Man in Christianity

Deification Front CoverDeification is the transformation of man into god through the grace of God. Predominant in the theology of Eastern Christianity, but marginalized and obscured in contemporary interpretations of the theology of Western Christianity, Bartolo-Abela explores how it is deification, not just salvation, that was and remains the intent of God for mankind, with deification occurring not solely in patria, but in via and in patria. This is an understanding of deification which has been largely lost and needs to be recovered in the Western Church.

Examining the works of the Church Fathers on both sides of the East-West divide in Christianity, Bartolo-Abela shows that rather than being restricted to the East, deification featured consistently in many theological works popular in the West, with Continue reading “NEW – Deification of Man in Christianity”

What does it mean to be a child of God?

To be a child of God means to be an adoptive member of the Divine Family.

When we become children of the living God by taking steps to rediscover our true heritage and giving the Almighty Father our fiat with sincerity of heart, in essence and in fact, we become adoptive members of the Divine Family. The Family – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and, yes, even the Mother* – take us in. They take us into Their Hearts and envelop us in Their bosom, showering us with all we need to become gods by grace (2 P 1:4; Ps 82:6).  Continue reading “What does it mean to be a child of God?”

The beauty of the divine life

It is immensely beautiful to participate by grace in the divine life of the Most Holy Trinity. What intense love! What joy and happiness! It is literally a slice of heaven on earth and who in their right mind does not want a piece of that? But the thing is, the offer to participate in the Divine Family life is not restricted to just a few persons. Our Father desires everyone to return to participate in His divine life. So much so that He is ready to shower His graces – unparalleled graces, even previously unseen graces – onto anyone who accepts His open offer. Why stay away, therefore, when you can all be filled with riches beyond belief; joy, happiness and love beyond belief?  Continue reading “The beauty of the divine life”

The rage of the Evil One and Our Lady

The rage of the Evil One is increasing worldwide in intensity, immediacy and frequency. However, do not fear. He only has power insomuch as we give it to him through our own free-will choice. Whenever he attacks – and attack he will, in whatever manner his minions and himself decide to do so – immediately invoke the help of our beautiful, loving, loyal  and fiercely protective Mother and he will flee with great rapidity.  Continue reading “The rage of the Evil One and Our Lady”

The beauty of silence

Silence is beautiful and very much loved by our Heavenly Father, as in the beginning only God and silence existed. Yet many of us these days have no concept of the true beauty of silence, for they have only experienced noise. In silence, hearts communicate – our hearts with the Divine Heart of God our Father – and peace ensues. It is in silence that our souls rest in God.

“Before sharing my thoughts on the book I want to mention that I am not going to state my belief or lack of belief in the narratives described in this book. Each person who reads the book can decide for him or herself whether or not he or she believe the words contained therein. It is not my place to judge either way and I will leave my comments to the actual content of the book.

“Having said that, The Divine Family is a short (84 pages), beautifully written book that describes the Archangels Michael and Rafael, the Blessed Virgin and Jesus. It also describes Satan and vividly points out that hell is very real and that Continue reading “More reader feedback on the book – 2”
