Child of the Father

What does it mean to really be a child of God the Father – 2

How often do we abandon ourselves in God the Father’s Divine Will, with the entirety of our minds, hearts, bodies, and souls; in terms of not knowing the outcome to ourselves of such abandonment? That is an abandonment that is both inherent in, and characteristic of, that true simplicity and filial trust of a young child in the infinitely loving, tender, and benevolent Father Who can do no wrong? A childlike simplicity and trust that our Father’s Divine Heart very deeply desires and requests daily from us, so that He can freely fulfill, both within us and the world around us, His paternal and parental functions.  (more…)

What does it really mean to be a child of God the Father?

Since this question keeps on being repeatedly asked by many, here is an answer I originally posted back in 2013:

To be a child of God means to be an adoptive member of the Divine Family.

When we become children of the living God by taking steps to rediscover our true heritage and giving the Almighty Father our fiat with sincerity of heart, in essence and in fact, we become adoptive members of the Divine Family. The Family – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and, yes, even the Mother* – take us in. They take us into Their Hearts and envelop us in Their bosom, showering us with all we need to become gods by grace (2 P 1:4; Ps 82:6).  (more…)

It is time – The relationship between the Father and the child

And everyone who has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children or land for the sake of My Name will be repaid a hundred times over, and also inherit eternal life (Mt 19:29).

Give Him everything. It is time. Give Him everything without the slightest hesitation: everything you are and everything you are not; everything you have and everything you have not, down to the slightest thing. The Almighty and incomparable Father will supply and repay you like none other. He will repay you with a joy beyond description and He will give you His very own Self.

Yes, the Father will give you Himself and everything that is His in the entire universe, including His only-begotten Son in like (but not identical) manner to how He had given Him to the Virgin Mary – the coming of the Kingdom. Give yourself to the Heavenly Father, therefore, no matter who you are; no matter where you are. Give yourself to Him without fear, from the bottom of your heart. You can never lose, you can only gain.

What is the meaning of the divine inheritance?

The question was asked, “What does ‘the divine inheritance’ mean?” The response is simple, though by no means brief if answered in depth. The divine inheritance means we are called to literally inherit everything God the Father has, with Himself as Perfect Love above all else. And you have no idea what that is like, what perfect bliss and joy it entails, until you have tasted it.  (more…)

Children of the one Father – Thought for the day

“We are all called to be children of the one Father and brothers among ourselves . . . God is reality with a capital ‘R’ . . . a Father of goodness and infinite mercy” (Pope Francis, Letter to Eugenio Scalfari, 2013).

Being a child of God

To be a human being means to be a child of God. Yet many of us reject without thought the love which God our Father desires to give us, whereas others remain clueless about who our true Father is and the profundity with which He loves each one of us on an individual, personal level. As human beings, we desire love. It is inherent in our makeup. But we reject love when it is given to us freely and (more…)

Description of God the Father – 3

FOR HIS GLORY

The Father who is Infinite Love

GodtheFather7About two weeks after You gave me the illumination of conscience, You – God the Father – desired to show me with precision just how much of a tender, loving Father You are despite Your omnipotence. You chose to do this because You knew the extent to which I had been afraid of You my whole life and still was to some degree – as so many people are – despite my consecration to You. After all, throughout the Old Testament, despite what was described as my uncanny attraction to it since childhood, You were repeatedly portrayed as annihilating all and sundry in various ways because they betrayed Your trust in them. You did not exactly come across as a loving God.  (more…)

The love of the Father – Thought for the day

The love and parental tenderness of the Almighty Father never fail, even in the most difficult of circumstances. Turn to Him with childlike simplicity, wholeness of heart and love when everything and everyone around you fail you. You will find Him steadfastly by your side to both heal the wounds inflicted upon you and open doors which would remain closed by all earthly standards. Love (more…)

Being a little child in the Father’s sight

God our Father loves souls who are little, for it is when we are as children in His regard that He can function as Father without restraint; letting His majesty, glory and greatness take precedence in our lives without hindrance from ourselves. Being and remaining little is not easy, though, since it goes against the grain of our socialization. Many of us were taught to be winners, not to be losers (more…)

To God the Father – A testimony to His infinite love

You picked me up from among the dead and plunged me deeply into Your Divine Heart. You did not delegate the job of finding and resuscitating me to anyone else, but descended from Your beautiful throne and heavenly abode to search for me Yourself. When You found me, You chased and enticed me. Then You chased and enticed me some more.  (more…)

All He wants is love

All He wants is to be loved. That is all God our Father ever wanted from us. Nothing else. Yet we continue encountering difficulty – for some, great difficulty – in doing this. Why? Why close our hearts to Love? Can there possibly be anything or anyone greater than Love Himself? Why are we cheating ourselves out of love? For that is, in essence and fact, what we are doing.  (more…)

How do we draw upon the Father’s strength? – Response to a question

The question was posed, “How do we draw upon the Father’s strength?” The answer is simple: invite Him with genuineness to be your Father and open your hearts unconditionally to Him. If you cannot presently do the latter, for some reason or another, ask God the Father for all the graces necessary to become able to do so and the Father will give them to you with great joy. Turn your lives over to (more…)

Why is God described as Father to the fatherless? – Response to a question

The question was asked: “Why is God described as Father to the fatherless?” (Ps 68:6). The brief response is because at the core of His Divine Heart, He was, is and will remain, supremely, a Father. God the Father did not create us to live separately from Him. That is why He sent His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us, so we would once again become sons and daughters of (more…)

Description of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God – 3

FOR THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER

The Virgin Mary sings

You stood at the right archway of my dining room late that weekday evening, once again without your crown; wearing your white, floor-length mantle with its blue ribbon traveling inside its borders. This time you came as the joyful Mother at work. Singing an incredibly beautiful albeit unknown song with boundless joy, happiness and love on your petite face, your luxuriously melodious and tonal singing made me feel as though liquid love was suddenly being drained all over me. It was as though Heaven itself was being poured out. No earthly voice or song can, in fact, compare to yours, as your infinitely sweet song was the song of joy of the Holy Trinity mediated through your deified body.  (more…)

FOR THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER

The Virgin Mary, evil spirits and the Sacrament of Confession

You came out of your large statue which lies right above the tabernacle in the church which bears your name, when I was unknowingly surrounded by some evil spirits that Saturday afternoon while awaiting my turn in line to go to confession. I was already nervous at being there despite the priest-confessor being very good and thorough, kind and gentle, as it was only the second time I was attending after not having been for a significant period of time. Sitting in the pew waiting, I was hoping against hope that the person before me would get their confession over and done with, so that I could get in and out as quickly as possible. I had purposely sat at the end of the pew so if I felt I could not make it, I would be able to leave easily – hopefully unnoticed and without disturbing other people.  (more…)

A very real example of how God our Father works

“O HaShem, You have enticed me and I have let myself be enticed; You have overpowered me and have prevailed. I am a daily laughing-stock, everybody’s butt. Each time I speak the word, I have to howl and proclaim, ‘Violence and ruin!’ The word of HaShem has meant for me insult, derision, all day long. I used to say, ‘I will not think about Him, I will not speak in His Name any more.’ Then there (more…)

Description of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God – 1

FOR THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER

Our Lady of LongmeadowYou came that weekday morning in response to my question, “Is this church a (spiritually) safe place to be in?” A question I had been repeatedly but silently asking myself when I decided to return to the Church, after having attended Mass in some neighboring churches but in which heterodoxy and illicitness were both prevalent to some degree or another and unashamedly passed off as the new norm.

There you, the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God – given to me by your Son when you were at the foot of His Cross and by the Father’s Divine Will, to be also my Mother as the Mother of all mankind – suddenly stood, in the main aisle of the church; at the fifth pew from the (more…)

Come to the Father – Thought for the day

“There is a living water that murmurs in me, ‘Come to the Father'” (Ignatius of Antioch). “Living the life of Christ, letting oneself be penetrated by His Spirit, by His breath of mercy, constitutes Christianity . . . that means acquiring the bowels of compassion and tenderness of the Father” (Bobrinskoy, B. 2003. The compassion of the Father).

Loving Our Father – Thought for the day

We love Him, we pray to Him, we complain and gripe endlessly to Him, we ask Him for help in many of our daily situations. But how many of us actually sing to God the Father out of heartfelt love for Him? Our Almighty Father loves hearing us sing softly to Him, praising and worshiping Him, telling Him of our love for Him, with the wholeness of our hearts. Moreover, we do not even need to do this (more…)

The true meaning of living in the Era of Peace

How shall we be living in the era of peace, after the great Chastisement has been fulfilled? Unlike for many, if not most, of us living presently in the era of the flesh, during the era of peace we will be living thoroughly spiritualized lives – lives we cannot even begin to conceive of, right now – because the said era will, in effect, be the era of the Reign of the Father, in the intensely Eucharistic  (more…)

The Parental Love of the Father

You picked me up from among the dead and plunged me deeply into Your Divine Heart. You did not delegate the job of finding me, but descended from Your throne to search for me Yourself. With intense solicitude and love, You nestled me closely while purifying me thoroughly. So that You could then reside within me, with the Fullness of Your divine Life. You took me gently under Your most holy  (more…)

Cenacles of the Divine Heart of Our Father – Thought for the day

Our Glorious, Heavenly Father desires profoundly that all families, individuals, communities, and societies start holding weekly cenacles to His Divine Heart. God the Father desires this because He wants to be a central part and parcel of our daily lives. As such, Our generous Father has attached the promise (more…)
