Worshipping God the Father in Spirit and in Truth (Jn 4:23) – that is, in the Spirit Who Is the Holy Spirit and in the Truth Who Is Jesus Christ – we are, in essence and fact, worshipping the Father both in and through the “uninterrupted remembrance of Him” (Gregory Palamas, The triads, p. 54) in our whole beings. This is what it means (more…)
The illumination of one’s soul, better known as the illumination of conscience, is in essence and fact the healing of the soul that is ill, for it entails reopening the heart of the soul, the nous, to God the Father and His Truth, Jesus Christ; hence, to Knowledge – true (interior, experiential) knowledge – of God, after it has been closed and repeatedly (more…)
Many people speak about illumination these days, but not all understand what it really is. Illumination is the illumination of the heart of our souls, the nous. God the Almighty Father is infinite Joy: joy that, the kind of which we generally experience here on earth, pales woefully in comparison. In fact, the joy that we experience down here is not even the minutest shadow of what He Is. For Our Father is sheer Joy by nature. (more…)
The creature, the soul, to whom God the Father deigns to cast His Eyes upon and manifest Himself to as Infinite Love, in His most tender Mercy, desires to do nothing other than take Him completely unto herself.
