The question was asked, “What is God the Father like?” Several names and adjectives can be used to describe how our Father is. In fact, many descriptions of the Heavenly Father exist in Scripture and the writings of various saints and scholars. But none of them suffice to describe Him in His entirety as, being God, He is infinite and ultimately unknowable in His essence; His nature. What follows, Continue reading “What is God the Father like? – Brief response to a question”

Who is Yahweh Elohim – God the Almighty Father? He is infinite joy and infinite love; pure and simple. Why would you not want to know Him?
FOR THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER
You stood at the right archway of my dining room late that weekday evening, once again without your crown; wearing your white, floor-length mantle with its blue ribbon traveling inside its borders. This time you came as the joyful Mother at work. Singing an incredibly beautiful albeit unknown song with boundless joy, happiness and love on your petite face, your luxuriously melodious and tonal singing made me feel as though liquid love was suddenly being drained all over me. It was as though Heaven itself was being poured out. No earthly voice or song can, in fact, compare to yours, as your infinitely sweet song was the song of joy of the Holy Trinity mediated through your deified body. Continue reading “Description of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God – 3”
God our Almighty Father gives His infinite love to us, from His Divine Heart, as “the free and whole offering of a being who has not received anything” (Staniloae, D. 2012. The Holy Trinity: In the beginning there was love, p. 31). Since He desired to give “His whole unbegotten Person from eternity . . . [Our Father] begat another, in eternity, to whom He gives . . . [It is] precisely because He gives Continue reading “Our Father’s infinite love”
Divine joy is the essence of life and yet we do not want it, we push it away. How can we live if we are not in God? We may be physiologically alive but, in reality, we have no life within us, for we do not have the Life Who Is God. Love is the key that opens the door to Heaven. Yet we neither want life, nor do we want love. What, therefore, do we really want? Despair, misery and death? Is this Continue reading “Our refusal of divine Life, Love and Joy”
When the heart of our souls, the nous, has been re-opened to the Presence of God the Father, through our acceptance of the illumination of the soul, at times we will literally start feeling our Father interiorly caressing our souls, in the very core of our beings: precisely through the heart of our souls. With great gentleness and tenderness, we will Continue reading “Illumination and the heart of our souls – The gentle caress of the Father”
