“‘The Lord God waits, He does not condemn us and cries. Because He loves us!’ He behaves ‘like a mother hen with little chickens;’ this is our victory” – Pope Francis, Homily at Casa Santa Marta, October 29, 2015. Read more here.

The pierced Heart of the Father – 2
We have pierced His Divine Heart with our sins. But, above all, with our ongoing refusal to return to Him. What is it going to take, for us to realize the extent to which we have pierced our Father’s tender Heart? He loves and grieves, precisely because He loves with an intensity you cannot begin to conceive. When are we going to console our Father, soothe the grief in the very Core of Continue reading “The pierced Heart of the Father – 2”
The humble Father
How humble is God our Father, coming Himself to beg His children on earth to return to Him; to return to live in His loving bosom – His Divine Will. How infinitely beautiful is His humility, as is His love. And He never imposes; He asks. Yet we do not consider this extreme humility of the Father, incomparable in nature given who He is, as we remain intent on focusing on ourselves. Continue reading “The humble Father”
What is God the Father like? – Brief response to a question
The question was asked, “What is God the Father like?” Several names and adjectives can be used to describe how our Father is. In fact, many descriptions of the Heavenly Father exist in Scripture and the writings of various saints and scholars. But none of them suffice to describe Him in His entirety as, being God, He is infinite and ultimately unknowable in His essence; His nature. What follows, Continue reading “What is God the Father like? – Brief response to a question”
A voice in the wilderness – 6
Love should fill the hearts of His people, yet love is dead because His Spirit is absent. How can you love, therefore, or speak openly about love, if you do not have God within you Who is Love? More specifically, how can you love – truly love, with the entirety of your heart, mind, soul and strength (Dt 6:5; Mt 22:37; Mk 12:30; Lk 10:27) – if you do not want God; you do not want Love Himself? Continue reading “A voice in the wilderness – 6”
A voice in the wilderness – 5
Love, my beautiful love, I love You and adore You. You fill my heart, mind and soul with joy even in the most dire of circumstances. Your life is life, Your life is light. Yet many do not know You and those who once knew You, have forgotten You.
Note: Written in the Upper Room, on the vigil of Pentecost.
The power and love of God the Father – A response
If you only knew how loving and powerful our Almighty Father is! Nothing is impossible for Him. If you knew, truly knew, how our Father really is, you would not stay away a moment longer. You would approach Him with great rapidity and ask Him, without fear or hesitation, to take you back into His arms and plunge You deeply into His Divine Heart. But many of you, so many of you, remain Continue reading “The power and love of God the Father – A response”
Description of God the Father – 6
FOR HIS GLORY
The Father on the Doorstep
You came once again that Thursday morning at around 6.15 am. I had recently woken up and was preparing to go to early morning Mass, when suddenly the dining room became all lit up. It was as though multiple, strong spotlights had been placed all throughout the room and simultaneously lit up. In two years of living in the house, I had never seen anything like that. In fact, the light in the dining room was unnatural, because normally the room would have remained dark at that time of morning given its particular location.
As I stood silently looking around the room attempting to figure out what was happening, the light grew increasingly stronger and intense. It appeared to Continue reading “Description of God the Father – 6”
