The Spirit

The vileness of the shepherds

There You were all alone, abandoned in an open exposition tabernacle that was dark, with no one in attendance – except for two street cats. The lights would not turn on, the flowers were not real; the room smelled strongly of mold, but the windows were shut tight. No human person was there to adore You – not even one single, withering soul; yet outside there was non-stop chatter and traffic all around.

Mortal sin – what is that? Fidelity – what is that? Worship in Spirit and in Truth – what on earth are those?

So there You were, O Trinitarian God of the universe in the Eucharistic Heart of Christ, but abandoned in Your lonely jail by those You called to be Your very own. All You ever wanted from any and all of Your human creatures was love – but it is precisely love that they have refused to give.

How is God the Father if Jesus came from the Virgin Mary? – Response to a question

The question was asked, “How is God the Father if Jesus (Christ) came from the Virgin Mary?” The answer is simple and also refers to the previous post. Jesus Christ, the Eternal Word, was begotten by God the Father before any creature – human or otherwise – was created:

In the beginning was the Word: and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things came to be, not one thing had its being but through Him. All that came to be had life in Him and that life was the light of men (Jn 1:1-4).

Jesus was, in His divinity, in His Father’s Divine Heart before His human mother, the Virgin Mary was created in the flesh. In fact, in the very beginning there was God – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (the Holy Trinity) – and silence. Nothing else; no one else. God the Father always was, is, and will be (more…)

Are the Orthodox part of the Roman Catholics in the Book of Revelation?

The question was asked, “Are the Orthodox part of the Roman Catholics in the Book of Revelation?” In brief, the answer is a resounding “yes, of course!” I was surprised when I found the above question because the Book of Revelation does not pertain to a single denomination, no matter how much various denominations of one stripe or another may desire to hijack this part of Scripture – indeed, any part of Scripture, if we come to that – to accomodate their self-serving, self-righteous agendas. It is also not non-denominational as the term is currently understood, to be crystal clear.

What is presently happening in our world is a sifting – of those who truly desire the Triune (more…)

For the people – The desert

“Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, adorned with the sun, standing on the moon, and with the twelve stars on her head for a crown. She was pregnant and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs of childbirth. Then a second sign appeared in the sky, a huge red dragon which had seven heads and ten horns, and each of the seven heads crowned with a coronet. Its tail dragged a third of the stars from the sky and dropped them to the earth, and the dragon stopped in front of the woman as she was having the child, so that he could eat it as soon as it was born from its mother.  (more…)

NEW – Deification of Man in Christianity

Deification Front CoverDeification is the transformation of man into god through the grace of God. Predominant in the theology of Eastern Christianity, but marginalized and obscured in contemporary interpretations of the theology of Western Christianity, Bartolo-Abela explores how it is deification, not just salvation, that was and remains the intent of God for mankind, with deification occurring not solely in patria, but in via and in patria. This is an understanding of deification which has been largely lost and needs to be recovered in the Western Church.

Examining the works of the Church Fathers on both sides of the East-West divide in Christianity, Bartolo-Abela shows that rather than being restricted to the East, deification featured consistently in many theological works popular in the West, with (more…)

What does it mean to be a child of God?

To be a child of God means to be an adoptive member of the Divine Family.

When we become children of the living God by taking steps to rediscover our true heritage and giving the Almighty Father our fiat with sincerity of heart, in essence and in fact, we become adoptive members of the Divine Family. The Family – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and, yes, even the Mother* – take us in. They take us into Their Hearts and envelop us in Their bosom, showering us with all we need to become gods by grace (2 P 1:4; Ps 82:6).  (more…)

The beauty of the divine life

It is immensely beautiful to participate by grace in the divine life of the Most Holy Trinity. What intense love! What joy and happiness! It is literally a slice of heaven on earth and who in their right mind does not want a piece of that? But the thing is, the offer to participate in the Divine Family life is not restricted to just a few persons. Our Father desires everyone to return to participate in His divine life. So much so that He is ready to shower His graces – unparalleled graces, even previously unseen graces – onto anyone who accepts His open offer. Why stay away, therefore, when you can all be filled with riches beyond belief; joy, happiness and love beyond belief?  (more…)

The rage of the Evil One and Our Lady

The rage of the Evil One is increasing worldwide in intensity, immediacy and frequency. However, do not fear. He only has power insomuch as we give it to him through our own free-will choice. Whenever he attacks – and attack he will, in whatever manner his minions and himself decide to do so – immediately invoke the help of our beautiful, loving, loyal  and fiercely protective Mother and he will flee with great rapidity.  (more…)

The beauty of silence

Silence is beautiful and very much loved by our Heavenly Father, as in the beginning only God and silence existed. Yet many of us these days have no concept of the true beauty of silence, for they have only experienced noise. In silence, hearts communicate – our hearts with the Divine Heart of God our Father – and peace ensues. It is in silence that our souls rest in God.

“Before sharing my thoughts on the book I want to mention that I am not going to state my belief or lack of belief in the narratives described in this book. Each person who reads the book can decide for him or herself whether or not he or she believe the words contained therein. It is not my place to judge either way and I will leave my comments to the actual content of the book.

“Having said that, The Divine Family is a short (84 pages), beautifully written book that describes the Archangels Michael and Rafael, the Blessed Virgin and Jesus. It also describes Satan and vividly points out that hell is very real and that (more…)

A voice in the wilderness – 6

Love should fill the hearts of His people, yet love is dead because His Spirit is absent. How can you love, therefore, or speak openly about love, if you do not have God within you Who is Love? More specifically, how can you love – truly love, with the entirety of your heart, mind, soul and strength (Dt 6:5; Mt 22:37; Mk 12:30; Lk 10:27) – if you do not want God; you do not want Love Himself? FOR HIS GLORY

The Divine Heart of God the Father Encompassing All Hearts – Original Narrative of 26th May 2010

icon of divine heart1At around 5.45pm, I was again in an inner room in my house. The sun came right back at me, in front of all the trees I have at the back of my house (normally the trees obscure the sun). Its rays again started flashing and twinkling, and I saw God’s Heart (again) – gray, with folds, membranes and so on, again – pulsating as though He was breathing. The rays kept on going back and forth, as though beckoning me to go back out into my back yard, which I did. As soon as I reached my back yard, the sun became immensely brilliant. Rays radiated all around me, I felt God’s warmth and love penetrating right into the depths of my being, and I saw myself staring again, without any problems, straight at the very core of the sun.  (more…)

FOR HIS GLORY

The Divine Heart of God the Father Encompassing All Hearts – Original Narrative of 25th May 2010

icon of divine heart1Yesterday evening, at around 6pm, I was in one of the inner rooms in my house, when I suddenly saw a ray of sunlight come right at me, through the wooded trees at the back of my house. It was as though it was twinkling, going back and forth. So I asked, “Is that You?” And I heard, “Come,” while the ray kept on twinkling further as though beckoning me. Throughout all this, the sun appeared in front, rather than at the back, of my trees, which I thought was quite weird. So I went out onto my lawn in my backyard and looked at the sun, trying to figure out what was happening since it seemed different than usual.

Then the sun came much closer to me, actually hiding the branches of the trees. Its rays came right at me and they became very brilliant; I have never seen anything like it. The rays (more…)

What is the meaning of illumination of conscience? – Response to a question

Together with purification and deification, illumination is “the reception of an understanding of the Godhead” (Dionysus the Aeropagite, CH VII.3.209C).

The illumination of conscience is a grace of mercy given by God the Father and a process whereby one sees everything they did or did not do, said or did not say, throughout their life in the light of the truth who is Christ; and all those sins which were not absolved (not recalled by God anymore) through the sacrament of reconciliation.  (more…)

FOR THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER

Karlskirche_Frescos_-_Heiliger_Geist_2The Pillar of Sweetness and Love

You came that late weekday evening. But instead of presenting Yourself as a still, small voice or a gentle breeze (1 Kgs 19:12) as You normally did, this time You came as a tangible column of ineffable sweetness and lightness; literally, a well-defined pillar of about 18 inches wide and over 6 feet tall. You came to my side without warning or expectation at the request of Your Spouse, the Virgin Mary. But unlike usual, You said nothing.  (more…)

The bridge to the Holy Trinity

Mankind does not want God. Yet it wants the human Mother of God the Son, Jesus Christ, even less despite the fact She is the exemplar of the deification of created man – what mankind was supposed to be – and the bridge to the Holy Trinity. The latter fact is true for everyone, including those who do not believe. How inconceivably stupid we are in rejecting all the help and provision freely given to us  (more…)
